The roof basically consists of two intersecting barrel vaults whose main structure is directed to the perimeter and intersections via a series of trusses.  These, in turn, redirect the roof load into the earlier mentioned structural cores.  Luckily, the major planes of the roof are a minimal cable system with lightweight semi-translucent ETFE panels that provide ample diffused daylighting to the arena space below.
